Apollo Go is a passenger service associated with Baidu. In China it also uses the name 萝卜快跑, often written Luobo Kuaipao. For a journey, check the vehicle, booking channel and local provider offered to you. The service brand alone does not establish those arrangements.¹⁴⁵

What has been announced for Dubai?

On August 18, 2026, Baidu reported fully driverless commercial operations in Dubai and booking through Apollo Go and Uber. Dubai's transport authority identified the RT6 at its February 5, 2026 official launch event, which preceded a planned first-quarter public launch. The event and the later commercial report describe distinct stages; check the local booking channel for a journey now.¹⁷Reported

For a visit to Dubai, start with the pickup and destination shown in the local booking channel. Then check the passengers, luggage and assistance you need. The RT6 event announcement does not identify the vehicle assigned to your trip, and the August commercial-service report does not supply current route boundaries.⁷¹Reported

Who handles the local service?

The Dubai privacy notice identifies Baidu Apollo International Transport Services L.L.C as the main data controller. It names Dubai Taxi Company PJSC as supporting deployment and operation. Keep those roles in mind when looking for support and privacy information: the notice does not establish one legal ride provider for every Apollo Go market.⁵

The same notice covers pilots, trials and commercial service and allows for different arrangements involving autonomous vehicles, safety drivers or remote assistance. Check the information for the trip you are offered. A general privacy notice is not a guarantee that every vehicle or phase uses the same staffing arrangement.⁵

What would make the service fit your journey?

For a journey with children, confirm the local minimum age, accompaniment and child-seat requirements. For a passenger using a wheelchair, confirm boarding arrangements and whether travel while seated in the chair is supported. Those answers need to come from the service for the relevant location; an app-store age rating or software accessibility label cannot supply them.⁵⁶

The official Chinese site points to Baidu Maps as a booking channel. Baidu's August 18, 2026 Dubai announcement names Apollo Go and Uber, while the developer-supplied app listing describes a UAE service. Check the account, payment and pickup process for your own market before relying on a booking option.⁴¹⁶Reported

Dubai's notice describes collection of trip and device location, external video and, where applicable, in-vehicle recordings, sensor data and support communications. Read that local notice if recording or location use affects your decision. It should not be assumed to describe the rules in every other Apollo Go market.⁵

Choose the service by the journey it can handle now. Confirm the fare and any airport pickup rules in the local app, and leave room for another option if your route or passenger needs are not covered. The existence of an Apollo development platform does not make its downloadable software the exact system operating your ride.¹²
