Editorial & AI-Use Policy

How our content is produced, sourced, reviewed and corrected.

Data is the source of truth

Every page is built from a structured dataset. Each fact, such as a specification, price, funding figure or supply relationship, records its source, a confidence level (confirmed, reported, or inferred), and when it was last verified. Values marked “reported” or “estimate” are shown with a visible affordance and are never presented as confirmed. When a figure is unknown, we say so. We never fill gaps with guesses.

How we use AI

AI assists research organization and drafting from sourced records. Draft pages show that review is pending. Before publication, an accountable person checks the claims, wording, images and disclosures for that version of the page. Automated checks help find missing or inconsistent evidence; the human reviewer remains responsible for judging whether the sources support the claims.

Sourcing and confidence

We prefer primary and official sources: manufacturer spec sheets, regulatory filings (SEC EDGAR, HKEXnews) and company disclosures. Next we consider reputable secondary coverage, then analyst estimates. When sources conflict, we keep both, prefer the most authoritative, and note the conflict. Financial figures are compiled from public sources, dated, and never shown as live; for current prices we link out.

Authors and reviewers

Released pages require a named human author and reviewer with accurate profiles. “Reviewed by” means that person actually reviewed that revision. If the author and reviewer are the same person, the byline explicitly says self-review. Pending assignments are not completed reviews. We never fabricate credentials, testing, awards, or quotes. “Hands-on” or “tested” language is reserved for products actually handled; otherwise we use comparison and data framing.

What publication requires

A page needs useful, distinct information, sources that support its claims, accurate author and reviewer details, relevant links and media with documented rights. Commercial relationships need clear disclosure. We check the page's data and technical presentation, and require an actual editorial review before release. A limited-spec robot profile may include documented unknowns; it must still meet these standards.

Corrections

Spotted an error? Tell us which page and detail need attention, with a source if possible. Corrections are checked against the evidence, and material changes are noted. Source-check dates describe the information checked; the page's last-updated date describes an approved editorial change. Prices, availability and other changing claims need a fresh source check before publication.

Independence

Advertising, affiliate links and sponsorships are planned funding options. They cannot buy a change to a sourced fact, confidence label or editorial verdict. See our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure for the current status and planned labels.
