The public electronics and electric-vehicle company is developing CyberOne alongside a much broader consumer business.15
Headquartered in Beijing, Xiaomi builds the devices people carry, use at home and drive. Its CyberOne humanoid is the most human-shaped part of that story. The company introduced it in 2022 and, by September 2026, was describing exhibition demonstrations and trials in its own car factory.1456

Xiaomi dates its business founding to April 6, 2010. Leadership biographies checked on October 26, 2026 identify Lei Jun as founder, chairman and chief executive and Lin Bin as co-founder and vice chairman. Lei brought experience from software company Kingsoft and the online retailer Joyo. Lin co-founded Xiaomi with him in 2010. These origins help explain why software and connected services feature so prominently in the company's hardware story.12
The early sequence began with MIUI software in 2010 and the Mi 1 smartphone in 2011. Xiaomi later widened its ambitions again, announcing a smart-electric-vehicle strategy in 2021 and launching the SU7 sedan in 2024. Those milestones show a business moving across product categories, rather than a robotics startup whose fortunes can be understood through one humanoid.3
For someone planning a connected home, that breadth makes the practical question one of fit. Which specific appliance would save time, which phone or account does it need, and who will support it locally? A familiar brand can make a new category approachable, but it does not make every research project a finished appliance.15
Where CyberOne fits
CyberOne's original announcement described a full-size humanoid that balanced and moved on two legs. Xiaomi's September 2026 newsroom statement goes further in time: it names CyberOne at IFA, making gestures for visitors, and says the robot is undergoing trials at Xiaomi Auto Factory. That is evidence of continued development, rather than a robot shown once and forgotten.45
The factory is a useful setting for investigating a defined job. It is also a different environment from a family home. The next question is whether a particular robot can complete the task you need, with your objects and your tolerance for supervision. Keep the original specifications separate from the newer development account when assessing what the robot has demonstrated.56
Can my family buy CyberOne as a household helper?
The prepared sources describe demonstrations and factory trials. They do not establish a household retail offer, local support package or domestic task guarantee. An unknown purchase offer should remain unknown rather than becoming a price or launch promise.5
Do Xiaomi’s group profits tell me how CyberOne is selling?
