WeRide GXR
1WeRide’s October 2024 GXR launch film shows an earlier vehicle configuration. Later vehicles and the equipment used in local fleets may differ.

WeRide GXR official product image/render from the current GXR product section. That section lists HPC 3.0; the exact hardware revision and model year of this pictured configuration are unconfirmed. This image establishes no priced trim or local ride-service entitlement. Provided by WeRide. Image source (opens in a new tab)
WeRide GXR is a passenger robotaxi vehicle. WeRide describes a five-seat cabin, but the service using the vehicle determines who can travel, where it can go and how to book. Start with the people and bags you need to carry, then check the particular operator and journey.124Reported
How has GXR changed?
WeRide unveiled GXR on October 15, 2024, using Farizon SuperVan architecture. That announcement described Sensor Suite 5.6 and the HPC 2.0 onboard computer. In March 2026, WeRide showed a GXR using NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor within its HPC 3.0 computer. The two announcements describe different configurations; the later exhibit does not establish that every earlier GXR received the same equipment.25Reported
The product catalogue checked on October 26, 2026 calls GXR mass-produced and lists HPC 3.0 with a claimed computing capacity of 2,000 trillion operations per second (TOPS). That rating does not tell a passenger which car will arrive or which roads its service covers. A fleet operator needs the actual vehicle configuration and the driving software installed with it.154Reported
How does GXR fit a real journey?
In September 2025, WeRide and Grab announced GXR vehicles for Grab’s Ai.R programme on two Punggol routes in Singapore, alongside Robobus vehicles. The initial phase included onboard safety operators. That announcement describes a particular programme and launch stage; it is not a current timetable for every GXR service.3Reported
If the goal is a station connection with children and bags, check the pickup and drop-off points first, then the operator’s rules for children, luggage and assistance getting in. A five-seat description alone does not answer whether a child seat can be used or whether a wheelchair user can remain in their chair. Those arrangements should be confirmed for the booked service.14Reported
For a transport operator, GXR is a fleet-integration enquiry. Ask for the exact hardware revision, responsibility for remote support and recovery, and the proposed operating limits. WeRide’s product-kit page is a starting point for those questions; it does not supply a household purchase package.125Reported
Can five people, children or a wheelchair user travel together?
WeRide’s five-seat description is a vehicle specification, not a booking allowance. The product information does not settle child-seat requirements, luggage limits or whether a wheelchair user can travel seated in their chair. Give the local operator your party size and boarding needs before relying on a trip.14Reported
Can I buy a GXR for my household?
The available product page invites an enquiry; it does not establish a household purchase price, delivery commitment or ownership package. A family can investigate a local ride service separately. A business considering a fleet should ask for the vehicle contract and the responsibilities for maintenance, remote support and recovery.14
Which GXR should a fleet proposal specify?
Ask for the exact vehicle, legal manufacturer, computer and sensor revision, installed driving software, and permitted routes and conditions. The 2024 and March 2026 configurations are documented separately. A complete current model-year identity, legal manufacturer and system configuration are not established here, so the GXR name alone cannot settle those choices.251Reported

- 3. WeRide and Grab Ai.R announcement
The September 22, 2025 announcement describes Grab’s Ai.R programme in Punggol, with GXR and Robobus vehicles on two routes and onboard safety operators initially. It is a dated programme announcement, not a live timetable or a universal GXR driving arrangement.Reported
