Astribot
A Shenzhen company developing robot manipulation, the S1 platform and AI models that connect instructions to physical action.1356
Astribot's work centres on a question familiar to anyone who has watched a robot struggle with an ordinary object: how does an instruction become the right physical movement? The company develops hardware and AI together, with S1 providing a platform for research into object handling and the Lumo models exploring how robots reason and act.1356
Visit Astribot ↗People and approach
Astribot says it was founded in Shenzhen in December 2022. An official exhibition profile identifies its founder as Lai Jie, previously an employee and architect at Tencent's RoboticsX laboratory. The company's own term for its approach is Design for AI: the mechanical system and the intelligence are developed together.12
S1 gives that approach a physical platform. It is a mobile machine with two arms, supported by development tools, simulation and VR teleoperation for collecting training data. Astribot’s present research offering gives developers a way to work on object handling while the broader assistant ambition continues.35
Robots and the work they are designed for
S1 is the research robot, while T1 is a separately offered platform. Lumo-1 and Lumo-2 are AI research models. When comparing an offer or demonstration, start with the exact hardware and software it uses.3456
Astribot S1
S1 is a two-arm mobile manipulation platform for research, not a walking biped. Its development tools and VR teleoperation support collecting examples and testing new models. A complete household purchase and support package has not been established.35
T1
Astribot separately advertises T1 from CNY 89,900 on its homepage. As recorded on 26 October 2026, the purchase button led to a contact enquiry. That starting figure belongs to T1, not S1; delivery, tax and export terms need to be settled with the supplier.4
Lumo-1 and Lumo-2
Lumo-1 learns actions from S1 data. Astribot describes Lumo-2 as combining predictive world-action learning with several sources of training data. These are research models, not a promise that every robot includes a fixed list of household chores.56
What would useful help look like?
A request such as putting away a few objects involves more than one impressive movement. Ask to see the same complete task repeated with different objects, including what happens when something slips or is out of reach. For an S1 research purchase, also ask how examples are collected and which tools and support come with the machine.36
