Casio's name appears on watches, calculators and musical instruments. Moflin brings its electronics into a different kind of household interaction: a soft robot that responds with small movements and sounds. Choosing one involves matching that style of companionship to the edition, charging bed and support arrangement offered in your country.3

Four brothers and a widening electronics business

Casio Computer was established on June 1, 1957. Its history centers on the four Kashio brothers, Tadao, Toshio, Kazuo and Yukio. The company’s account describes complementary responsibilities: Tadao in administration, Toshio in invention and development, Kazuo in sales and marketing, and Yukio in engineering and production.12

That division of work gives a useful view of the business behind the devices: ideas had to become products that could be made and sold. Casio remains headquartered in Tokyo, and its July 2026 financial report names Shin Takano as president and chief executive. The modern portfolio extends across timekeeping, calculation, music and Moflin.1236

Moflin is designed around response rather than a calculation, time display or musical performance. Casio describes its emotional expressions as simulated. A buyer can enjoy those movements and sounds as interaction without treating them as the feelings of a living animal or as a promise of a health outcome.3

Casio's support FAQ distinguishes its own Moflin units from an earlier crowdfunding version associated with Vanguard Industries. It says Casio's app and services apply to Casio-sold units from November 2024 onward. For a used unit, establish which edition it is and who sold it before relying on Casio's service arrangement.4

Products and everyday interaction

Keep the model label and charging bed together when comparing Moflin offers. Casio’s regional pages identify different editions, and a change to an accessory can matter even when the robot body is described as unchanged.58

Moflin PE-M10SR, US silver model

PE-M10SR is the silver model identified on Casio’s US page. The MofLife app offers naming, volume and battery settings, updates and an interaction journal. Confirm that the offered unit is covered by the relevant Casio service arrangement, particularly when buying older or imported stock.348

Moflin PE-M11SR, Japan

The Japanese PE-M11SR page is marked new in September 2026 and describes a revised USB Type-C bed with an unchanged body. The new bed supports PE-M10 and PE-M11, while the older PE-M10 bed supports only PE-M10. Check the bed model before ordering a replacement or mixing accessories.5

Official details ↗

Watches, calculators and musical instruments

These familiar lines remain part of Casio’s wider catalog. They explain why the group’s financial results are much broader than companion robots; Moflin is one product within that business.36

Choosing the interaction and support

Casio says Moflin does not understand or record spoken words and processes voice features locally to recognize familiar speakers. It separately says app uploads occur when the owner chooses, for purposes including the journal, servicing and restoration. Read those statements together rather than assuming every app function is local-only.3

Casio's care guidance describes soft brushing and wiping dirt with a damp cloth. Decide who will manage charging and MofLife settings, then check the regional service options and any charges alongside the purchase price.39

What would living with it involve?

Are you looking for a small object that responds to handling, or expecting conversation and understanding of words? Use that distinction to set expectations, then check the exact robot, bed and service eligibility. Those details are more useful than assuming two listings with the same Moflin name are interchangeable.345
