DJI
A private imaging and robotics business whose RoboMaster S1 brings programming to a ground vehicle.15
DJI's imaging and control technology reaches from camera equipment to programmable ground robots. RoboMaster S1 gives a family a physical vehicle to control and program: a way to see code turn into movement. It sits within a much wider business, with its own hardware, software and support to consider.156
Visit DJI ↗From Shenzhen to a broad product business
DJI says it began in 2006, identifies Frank Wang as its founder and places its headquarters in Shenzhen. Its company page describes a privately owned business serving uses from filmmaking to agriculture. The current newsroom shows a broader 2026 portfolio spanning imaging, agricultural products, drone infrastructure and ROMO 2 cleaning products.124
RoboMaster S1 brings programming into a ground vehicle designed for hands-on projects. Its documented RoboMaster Lab environment offers Scratch and Python. For a family, choosing the robot therefore also means choosing the computer or smart device on which to write and run those projects.5
Products and learning projects
DJI’s imaging products and RoboMaster S1 serve different jobs. Its current newsroom also covers agriculture, docks and cleaning products. Each line needs its own specifications, operating instructions and support checks.145

Choosing for a household
DJI's S1 download page includes historical documentation and release notes dated September 16, 2020. Those documents help identify and use an existing machine, but do not establish current operating-system compatibility, repair acceptance or new stock. For a resale or remaining-stock offer, ask the seller to demonstrate the setup on your intended device.6
