From a robotics founder to a new company

Founder and chief executive Zhao Tongyang brought prior robotics experience to the business. An October 2021 XPeng filing identifies him as a founder of Dogotix, which it describes as developing robots with human-robot interaction functions. EngineAI's own history begins in October 2023. Its public leadership material also names Yao Qiyuan as a co-founder responsible for marketing, sales and service, in an August 2026 announcement.2456

The first product milestones followed quickly: SA01 in July 2024, SE01 in October and PM01 in December. The lineup has since grown, while PM01 itself now has separate 2026 Education and Navigation editions.29

A business taking shape around several jobs

EngineAI describes markets ranging from entertainment and commercial services to manufacturing and education. Its portfolio includes T800, PM01, SE01, SA01 and JS01, with different body designs and intended jobs.1

T800 illustrates the industrial direction. In May 2026, EngineAI announced the first batch from its Honghualing production line in Shenzhen. In August, the company said T800 was loading, unloading and moving materials at Luxshare Precision’s Suzhou factory.510

The company also introduced Awaken, an architecture connecting movement control with higher-level AI. For a customer, the useful next question is which parts of that software come with the particular robot and package being offered.59

SA01 and SE01

SA01 is a bipedal platform; SE01 is a full-size humanoid. Both appear in the company's early product history.2

JS01

Where PM01 fits

PM01 is interesting when making a robot do something is part of the activity. EngineAI publishes movement-control interfaces and walking-policy examples, giving a programmer material to work with. A family robotics project might begin with a supervised movement routine; that is a hypothetical project to discuss with the supplier, not an included curriculum or an assurance of suitability around children.78

The English product page separates 2026 Education and Navigation editions. Start with the intended project, then request the exact hardware, software, training and support package. For an overseas buyer, repair arrangements deserve particular attention: EngineAI's policy prioritizes remote help and replacement parts, with other service determined by an after-sales assessment.913
