Miko

A Mumbai robotics business built around conversation, children's activities and subscription content.14

Founded
20151
Headquarters
Mumbai, India1
Co-founders
Sneh Vaswani, Prashant Iyengar, Chintan Raikar3

Miko is built around interaction with a child rather than around assembling a machine. Its own product history runs from the first Miko through Miko 3 and the smaller Mini, alongside a chess product. For a family, that makes the choice as much about content, parental controls and ongoing services as about the robot on the table.14

The people and entities behind the name

The company dates its founding to 2015 and places its headquarters in Mumbai. Investor IvyCap identifies Sneh Vaswani, Prashant Iyengar and Chintan Raikar as co-founders, with responsibilities spanning business leadership, technology, hardware and operations.13

Miko's terms identify different contracting entities by region. US users contract with RN Chidakashi Technologies Inc.; users elsewhere contract with RN Chidakashi Technologies Private Limited. Keep those names alongside the Miko brand when checking a warranty, subscription receipt or privacy request.2

Products and learning projects

Miko's timeline dates its first robot to 2016, Miko 2 to 2019, Miko 3 to 2021 and Miko Mini to 2023. It places Chess Grand in 2024. The range gives families distinct products to consider: identify the model first, then compare its activities and services.1

Miko 3

Miko 3's help material describes conversation, apps and parent controls. Ask to see an activity the child wants to use and the controls an adult would manage. This is a way to assess the product's content and interaction before deciding on any additional membership.4

Miko Max

The current Miko 3 help material describes conversation, apps and parent controls, with Miko Max adding premium content. Miko says Max is optional and renews automatically unless cancelled. Before buying, choose the activity the family expects to use, then establish whether it is included, requires Max, or depends on a regional content service.45

Choosing for a household

Miko's detailed privacy policy describes collection and storage of biometric information, alongside voice processing, child profiles and retention and deletion rules. Its shorter safety page says the camera operates on-device and no facial-recognition data is stored. Those accounts remain inconsistent. Before enabling camera-based features, ask how the full policy applies to the exact model, including what is stored and how it can be deleted.67

Treat Max as a continuing content purchase. Compare the activities included with the robot against those requiring membership, then review automatic renewal and cancellation alongside the household budget. Revisit the subscription when the child's interests change.456

What would your family use after the first week?

Choose one activity the child wants to return to. Is it included with that model, part of Max or dependent on a regional service? Then decide who will manage the account, review data settings and cancel a subscription that is no longer useful.456
