Miko describes Miko 3 as a conversation and content robot for children aged 5 to 10, with parent-app playtime controls. Start with an activity the child wants to return to, such as a story, a game or a conversation. Then check whether it comes with the robot or needs an optional content subscription.24
Setup uses Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, the Miko app, a guardian account, parental consent and a pairing code. If you are buying used, the previous owner must unlink an already-linked robot. Arrange that handover before payment, rather than assuming a reset will remove the account connection.38
The US product page recorded on October 26, 2026 lists USD 299 and red or blue models, but shows both sold-out and add-to-cart wording. Confirm the selected color’s stock and delivery terms. Miko recommends the supplied USB-to-USB-C cable with a 5 V, 3 A, 15 W adapter; an adapter may not be included in every region.17
Max is optional. Its standard FAQ lists USD 14.99 a month or USD 99 a year, alongside an annual promotional offer. Direct subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the Miko app, with access continuing to the end of the paid period. The page gives different starting points for benefits, delivery in one offer and pairing in another, so confirm the charge, start date and renewal terms for your chosen plan.4
Miko’s detailed policy says voice audio may be sent for transcription and then deleted after processing. Transcripts, profiles and backups follow separate retention rules. The safety page says no facial-recognition data is stored, while the detailed policy describes biometric collection, storage and retention exceptions. Before creating a child profile, ask Miko which terms apply to Miko 3 and how to request deletion. A reset should not be treated as confirmation that every copy has been erased.56
Choose one activity and work through its setup, content tier and controls together. If your goal is writing code, ask to see the programming tools for this exact model: a conversation or coding-themed activity is not the same as a general-purpose programming interface. For longer-term use, ask how to get help and unlink the account when passing the robot on.28
