Narwal's October 2026 anniversary account dates its beginnings to October 2016 and names founder Junbin Zhang. It places the business in Shenzhen and identifies a research and manufacturing base at Songshan Lake in Dongguan. The Japanese website's terms name Yunjing Intelligence Innovation (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and affiliates as the contracting parties for that market.123
The company dates its first robot vacuum with automatic mop washing to 2019, when it also used crowdfunding to bring the product to an audience. Its timeline then records a refill-and-drainage system in 2021 and DirtSense in 2022.
