Wonder Workshop connects a physical robot with tools for learning to code. Dash provides the movement, lights and sounds; Make Wonder adds account-based learning resources and software options. For families and schools, the practical choice includes the robot, the device used to program it and the plan that supports the intended activity.345
Visit Wonder Workshop ↗A continuing robot brand with a new operator
MORAVIA Education, Inc., part of MORAVIA Consulting Group, says it acquired Wonder Workshop’s assets. Its FAQ explicitly separates that purchase from acquiring Wonder Workshop, Inc. as a corporation. The Wonder Workshop brand and the old company’s corporate history therefore need to be read separately.1
The current operator dates its US launch to February 2026 and says its team includes former Wonder Workshop employees. That marks a new chapter for the brand’s products and services. It is the operator’s launch month, not the founding date of the Wonder Workshop brand.2
MORAVIA says Dash, Blockly, Make Wonder and the apps continue, along with existing support channels and renewal paths. An owner checking a subscription or a school preparing vendor paperwork can use that transition notice to ask the current operator about their particular account or purchase.1
Which Dash app will you use?
The compatibility page lists Blockly, Wonder and Chrome-based Blockly Pro routes. It marks Go as deprecated and Xylo as available without further updates. Check the intended app against the exact phone, tablet or computer before buying for a class or reusing an older device.4
Does physical Dash need internet for every activity?
The maker says installed phone and tablet apps can program physical Dash offline, while web use needs internet. Work out whether you want a physical robot activity or an online platform lesson, then confirm that the chosen app and device support that workflow.34
How are recordings and class data handled?
The privacy policy says voice recordings sent to Dash over Bluetooth remain on the robot until replaced. Class work and account functions have separate platform data handling, and deletion from backups can take up to 60 days. The robot’s lack of a camera does not remove the need to review the account and classroom data settings.36
Dash hardware and Make Wonder software
Start by separating the physical robot from the learning platform. They can be used together, but owning Dash and choosing a software plan are different decisions.35
Dash
Dash is an assembled programmable robot that moves, turns, lights up and plays sounds. The maker targets ages 5 to 14 and describes responses to sounds and obstacles without an onboard camera. Its internal battery is not user-replaceable; charging problems are directed to support.3
Make Wonder
Make Wonder’s plan list includes a free tier requiring physical Dash and paid plans with additional content and virtual-robot features. The paid feature list names JavaScript and Python in Blockly Pro. Confirm the physical or virtual route and the entitlement needed for the specific lesson.25
Plan one real coding activity
Choose a small goal, such as programming a route across a room, then identify the device and app the learner will use. For a school, also ask who manages accounts and whether the activity needs a subscription. Check the exact unit’s condition and support route when buying used or relying on an older robot.345

- Dash product and care information
Accepted October 26 evidence: assembled physical Dash, maker age guidance, functions, no onboard camera, offline native-app use and battery care. Dash is distinct from Dot, Cue and Virtual Dash. No hardware, classroom learning outcome or regional checkout was tested. Source checked 2026-10-26.
- Wonder Workshop device and app compatibility
Accepted October 26 evidence. App-specific device support, Go deprecation and Xylo update status must not be replaced by a single universal compatibility promise. Exact current firmware and connected-device behavior were not tested. Source checked 2026-10-26.
- Make Wonder software plans
Accepted October 26 US pricing evidence supplies free and paid plan distinctions. No price is repeated here. Confirm the current physical or virtual coding route, fees, taxes and renewal terms for the intended plan. Source checked 2026-10-26.
