TM6 after the arrival of TM7
TM6 is the previous generation. Vorwerk announced TM7 in February 2025. By October 26, 2026, its US help centre discussed support after TM6 sales had ended, and its Swiss service said TM6 was no longer sold there. A secondhand listing or remaining stock needs its own price, condition and support check.234
Check both the purchase date and the local support terms for an older TM6. The US service says repairs and spare parts continue for up to ten years from purchase, while software updates are expected for approximately five years after retirement. It also says TM6 remains supported by Cookidoo without an announced recipe-access end date. Those statements are not a ten-year warranty and do not establish that a particular used unit will receive free repairs.31
Match the regional model to the kitchen
The TM6 bowl has a maximum capacity of 2.2 litres. For the US and Canadian TM6-5, the manual specifies 120 V, 60 Hz and a maximum connected load of 1,300 W. The base measures 34.1 cm high by 32.6 cm wide and deep. Allow additional clearance for the steaming attachment, and confirm the electrical configuration before buying an imported machine.1
Read the current safety notice before using a TM6, especially one bought used. Vorwerk warns of steam blockage and hot-food eruptions associated with the tightly fitting measuring cup at 95°C/200°F or above. Follow the complete notice, the correct accessory instructions and the maximum fill line. A guided recipe does not remove the need to supervise a hot appliance.51
Recipe access and everyday use
Cookidoo is a separate ownership decision. The US public page displayed US$65 a year on October 26, 2026. UK account instructions say the subscription belongs to the user profile, so a machine must be unlinked before another account connects. Confirm local terms and the seller’s unlinking before treating recipe access as part of a used-machine deal. Link it to your own account and read the applicable privacy terms before syncing recipes; the UK setup instructions do not explain US device-data retention.67
Start the comparison with an ordinary dinner. Would a heated mixing bowl and steamer help with the food you make most often? Can an adult supervise it, and is there room to remove and clean the accessories? The owner must clean the components and keep the base out of water. A low secondhand price is useful only once the model, parts, account access and repair position are clear.17
Questions before choosing one
Can the seller identify the regional model and provide the original purchase and service records?13
Are the correct TM6 accessories present, and has the seller followed the current safety notice?51
Will you use guided recipes enough to justify the applicable local Cookidoo subscription?67

- 1. Vorwerk: TM6 North American manual
Technical figures refer to the US/Canada TM6-5 in the August 2022 manual, especially English page 35. The 120 V, 60 Hz electrical configuration is separate from Mexico and Europe. Dimensions and mass are for the base; the 2.2-litre maximum bowl capacity is not a serving count. The manual requires adult supervision, owner cleaning and authorized service. It identifies Vorwerk Elektrowerke GmbH & Co. KG as manufacturer, within the Vorwerk directory identity.
