The US 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive is the new all-electric iX3, with an available attentive hands-free driving package. It is relevant to someone who wants help on a supported commute while remaining the driver. This profile keeps that US model separate from earlier iX3 generations and other markets.1Reported
Assistance for an attentive driver
BMW describes Highway & Commuting Assistant as an optional function for attentive hands-free use at up to 85 mph when conditions and speed limits permit. Suggested lane changes can be confirmed with a glance toward the appropriate exterior mirror. The driver remains responsible throughout.1Reported
Road, traffic and weather conditions, mobile service and mapping can affect operation. BMW excludes Highway Assistant in Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Match a demonstration to your regular journey and obtain the exact hardware, activated features and service term in writing. The overview does not establish a delivered software build.1
Price and US availability
The current US page lists a starting MSRP of USD 61,500 before destination, taxes and dealer charges. BMW’s May 7, 2026 announcement listed USD 1,350 for destination and handling and USD 2,500 for the Driving Assistance Professional Package. Those dated amounts do not establish a current complete equipped quote or the applicable assistance service term.12
BMW reported that iX3 preorder deliveries had begun contributing to its third-quarter 2026 sales. That supports a real US market launch, but it does not tell you whether your preferred dealer has your configuration or when a new order will arrive.3Reported
Match the range to the wheels
BMW currently publishes 383–434 miles and qualifies that span as preliminary BMW testing based on EPA procedures. Its May 7 wheel table assigns 383 miles to standard 20-inch all-season tires and 434 miles to the no-cost 20-inch summer-tire option. Those configurations should not share one unqualified range figure.12Reported
The manufacturer lists up to 400 kW DC charging and a 21-minute 10–80% time when maximum charging conditions are met. It identifies a NACS port and an included CCS adapter. Treat the charging claim as a planning input, then check the chargers and conditions along your actual route.1Reported
Compare the complete car
Compare the complete equipped price and supported route before paying for assistance. A high advertised range on a different wheel package, or a hands-free feature with an unconfirmed term, may answer a different question from the one that brought you to the car.1Reported
