Cybercab is Tesla's two-seat electric passenger vehicle for the Robotaxi service. Tesla reported that Cybercab rides began in Austin on September 3, 2026, and its October 21 update lists the vehicle in production. The current Cybercab FAQ limits rides to parts of Austin, a narrower area than the wider Robotaxi service.321Reported
How does the cabin fit your journey?
Tesla describes a two-seat cabin with butterfly doors and a touchscreen, designed without a steering wheel or pedals. It also describes Braille, a transfer-height bench and space for service animals and assistive devices. Check these features against the passenger's actual needs, including whether they can transfer to the seat or need to remain in a wheelchair.32Reported
Cybercab guests aged 13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult, and under-13s may not ride under the current service rules. Check the ages of everyone travelling before planning around its two seats. Vehicle-specific rules matter when arranging a family trip.3Reported
Can you ride in one or buy one?
Tesla assigns a vehicle according to availability and party size, so a request does not guarantee Cybercab. For commercial purchasing, Tesla invites interest in an individual vehicle or fleet through a contact form. A confirmed public purchase price and delivery schedule remain unavailable.3
A prospective operator should ask for the purchase agreement, maintenance and service responsibilities, permitted operating area and commercial costs. The inquiry form is a starting point for those discussions; an order would need defined terms.3
What should you check for the actual trip?
For luggage, Tesla's FAQ gives a rear-trunk measure of 20.2 cubic feet, while the landing page uses 20 cubic feet. Keep that precision difference in mind and check the actual bags or mobility equipment against the vehicle's usable space. Battery capacity and a qualified driving-range figure remain unconfirmed for this configuration.3Reported
Before a trip, check the assigned vehicle, the ages of the passengers and the service's privacy terms. Tesla's Robotaxi notice distinguishes ordinary operation from additional early-access data collection, so the terms attached to the ride matter alongside the cabin design.34

- 3. Cybercab FAQ
The FAQ supplies the Austin-only Cybercab scope, two-seat cabin, age limits, allocation rule and commercial-interest form. Its 20.2-cubic-foot rear-trunk figure differs in precision from the landing page's 20 cubic feet; no reconciliation or conversion to litres is assumed. The FAQ does not establish a purchase price, delivery schedule, battery capacity, qualified range or exact deployed driving-software identity.Reported
