Cybertruck makes the most sense to investigate when the pickup bed has a regular job: carrying muddy sports gear, bulky supplies or equipment that you would rather keep out of the passenger cabin. The US Premium All-Wheel Drive configuration considered here has five seats and a covered six-by-four-foot bed. Start with the load your family actually carries, then check whether the truck fits the places you use every week.12
Start with the driveway and the people
Tesla lists this Premium AWD at 223.7 inches long and 95 inches wide with its mirrors extended, or 86.6 inches with them folded. Measure your parking space and leave room to open doors and unload. Five seats are a head count, not a promise that your particular child seats will fit together. Bring those restraints to a viewing and use the matching vehicle and child-seat instructions to assess the seating positions.29
A covered bed still needs a packing plan
The selected truck includes a motorized tonneau cover and an under-bed gear locker. That can make the bed relevant to a weekend away, but Tesla warns that the covered bed is not waterproof. Put water-sensitive belongings somewhere appropriate rather than treating the cover as a guarantee of dry luggage. The manual also prohibits passengers and pets from riding in the bed. Plan their places in the cabin before counting the space left for bags.15
Plan the loaded journey
The order page pairs this configuration with a 325-mile EPA range estimate and towing capacity of up to 11,000 pounds. Those are separate figures. Tesla's towing guidance says towing significantly reduces range and changes handling and braking; its energy guidance also names weather, speed and cargo as consumption factors. For a camping trip, work out the actual trailer and load, then plan charging around that journey. No tested towing range or household running-cost estimate is available here.168
Decide what the truck should do at home
The selected order includes a Mobile Connector and offers an optional US$600 Universal Wall Connector requiring installation. Price the electrical work for your home separately. Powershare adds another possible use: backup electricity. It requires compatible installed home equipment, supported software, connection to the truck and enough battery energy. Ask an installer about your particular home and the loads you need to support. A general backup claim is not a promise that your household will run for a fixed number of days.17
How much does this Cybertruck cost?
On October 26, 2026, Tesla's US cash selector showed US$84,990 for Premium All-Wheel Drive with 20-inch Core wheels, all-season tires, Tactical Grey decor and the Tow Package. No paid options were selected. Destination and order fees apply, but their amounts were not established in the inspected view, so there is no verified purchase total here. Taxes and registration also depend on the order. This is one configuration's vehicle price, with no incentive or projected fuel-saving deduction.110
Does FSD make it a driverless vehicle?
No. FSD (Supervised) requires an attentive driver ready to take over. The selected order offered a one-month trial and an optional US$99 monthly subscription before tax, billed separately until canceled. These are retail assistance terms. They do not turn the truck into an autonomous ride service or establish that you can travel as a passenger while it drives.41
Can FSD help while towing or carrying a rear bike rack?
Tesla says not to use FSD (Supervised) when a ball hitch, bike rack or trailer is attached to the rear. It is also unavailable with the tailgate down. Keep this restriction separate from the truck's advertised towing capacity when planning an equipment-heavy trip.41
Is the five-seat cabin enough for my family?
The Premium AWD specification lists five seats. Whether your passengers and child restraints fit comfortably needs a check in the actual vehicle. Tesla's restraint instructions distinguish seat types and marked compatible anchor positions. Seat count alone does not establish three-across child-seat fit or a family safety ranking.29
Can I rely on 325 miles between charging stops?
Treat 325 miles as the selected configuration's manufacturer-published EPA estimate. Temperature, wind, speed, cargo and towing can change energy use. It is not a verified distance for your loaded journey, and no charging tariff or charging-time guarantee has been established for that trip.18
Which model year and software does this cover?
This is a dated US Premium AWD order reference. The delivered model year, computer revision and installed FSD release remain unknown. Tesla's North America manual carries software label 2026.32; that label does not identify the software in a particular delivered truck. Confirm the vehicle-specific details before relying on an exact feature or equipment match.134
