LG CLOiD is LG Electronics’ wheeled, two-arm home-robot programme. LG introduced kitchen and laundry scenarios for CES 2026. Its August statements described training and planned production-line validation. The appeal is the possibility of connecting the steps between appliances and loose household objects.123Reported

A wheeled home-robot design

The announced design has a head, a tilting torso and two arms above a wheeled base. LG lists seven degrees of freedom per arm and five independently actuated fingers per hand. These describe the mechanism; they do not establish how reliably it handles an unfamiliar household job.1Reported

LG’s examples include retrieving items from a refrigerator, placing food in an oven and handling laundry. It also describes ThinQ integration and a head with cameras, sensors, a display and a speaker. A useful demonstration would follow one complete routine, including what happens when an object or appliance is different.1Reported

Training and validation milestones

In August, LG Electronics described CLOiD repeating tasks in a replicated home and a simulated manufacturing space in Seoul. A separate LG Corp. announcement targeted validation at a Tennessee washing-machine production line during 2026. The training setting and the future validation target are different milestones.23Reported

The same LG Corp. announcement discusses an unnamed bipedal project aimed at a Q1 2027 public unveiling. That project should be followed separately from wheeled CLOiD. Its hardware and unveiling date do not define a CLOiD you could buy.31Reported

What a household offer would need to answer

Treat CLOiD as a programme to follow until an exact local consumer offer establishes its price, supplied hardware, supported appliances and delivery terms. The checked announcements do not provide those terms. Camera use, access controls, service and operating restrictions also need product-specific answers before a household commitment.1
