Which Oli is covered?
LimX launched Oli on July 30, 2025 in Lite, EDU and Super editions. The specification page checked on October 26, 2026 covers EDU. It lists a height of 1.65 metres, a weight of no more than 55 kg including the battery, and a maximum single-arm load of 3 kg. Older Super specifications should not be folded into those figures.134
The launch describes 31 body joints excluding the tools at the ends of the arms. The current EDU page lists 33 total active degrees of freedom and two one-joint grippers. The different totals appear to reflect what is being counted. Ask the supplier to confirm the total for the hands or grippers in the delivered package, especially when comparing another edition.13Inferred
The live EDU page checked on October 26, 2026 lists about 1.5 hours of battery life and a 12-month warranty. Indexed text from the same page gives about two hours alongside older multi-edition material; the revision or workload difference remains unresolved. Confirm the edition and operating conditions before planning a session. LimX’s quick-swap battery description does not establish that batteries can be changed while powered.32
What the development platform offers
LimX supplies a modular SDK, Python development and access to higher- and lower-level controls, alongside support for simulation tools including Isaac Sim, MuJoCo and Gazebo. The purpose is to let a team develop and test behaviour before and during work with the physical robot. Those tools are valuable because the application remains something that people must build and validate.21
For EDU, LimX lists the motion-control computer as RK3588 / 8GB / 64GB and the perception computer as Orin NX 157 TOPS / 16GB / 1TB. Battery capacity is stated as 9,500 mAh. These details belong to that EDU specification, not every Oli edition.3
The maker's overview also describes Chinese and English conversation and custom knowledge bases. Its launch material describes local control, cloud APIs and over-the-air updates. Since the overview covers multiple configurations, a quotation should identify which interaction functions, software services and updates are included for the particular robot.21
Ownership includes a practical operating routine. LimX publishes tutorials covering unboxing, controller pairing, charging, calibration, upgrades and log downloads. Ask the supplier to walk through those tasks, including how a fault is diagnosed and how the robot is safely stored. That is a useful way to understand the time and skills needed alongside the purchase.6
A quote should describe the whole project
The July 30, 2025 launch advertised a domestic starting preorder price of CNY 158,000. The English announcement then described Mainland China availability and a planned international version. The FAQ checked on October 26, 2026 directs buyers to official quotations for configuration, price and lead time. The launch price does not establish today’s delivered cost or which edition is offered in your country.715
Before a trial in a shared space, ask how the installed applications handle sensor data and logs, who can connect remotely, and which functions continue without internet access. Define one task and an acceptance demonstration. If the goal is household use, establish which parts require programming or an operator. Those answers determine whether the package fits the project.1
