Choose the activity before the model
Standard’s reservation table does not include object manipulation. Pro lists dexterous hands, described as 12DoF, and extra development tools. That wording does not establish 12 degrees of freedom per hand. If the project involves picking up classroom objects, confirm the exact hand arrangement and supplied software before choosing a version.2
Both versions list Python and ROS 2 interfaces and a Neuraverse connection. Pro adds C++ access, a digital twin and teleoperation. For a teacher or researcher, ask which exercises and examples are supplied, what expertise is needed to adapt them, and how several people can use the platform without sharing unrestricted control.2
Costs and timing
On October 26, 2026, NEURA’s reservation page estimated €19,999 for Standard and €29,999 for Pro, excluding taxes and shipping. Each reservation required €100, described as refundable before the final purchase agreement and credited against the price. The page expected both versions in 2026.21
The broader 4NE1 page still carries a Spring 2026 Mini target. That older wording does not confirm deliveries. Anyone planning a course or funded project around the robot should obtain a current delivery commitment and the exact configuration before allocating the rest of the budget.12
Where it would be used
NEURA says stair navigation remains under development. A project that depends on moving between floors therefore needs a separate plan. Start with the actual room, required movement and supervision arrangements, then ask the supplier to demonstrate the intended activity in comparable conditions.2
Software access is only part of ownership. Agree who will maintain the machine, how repairs are handled locally and what the connected software records. The published reservation details do not yet give a complete basis for those decisions.2
Can Mini Standard handle objects?
Object manipulation is not included in Standard’s published offer. Pro lists manipulation and dexterous hands. For a class that needs picking up or placing objects, discuss Pro’s exact hands, software and exercises with NEURA; the listing alone does not establish that a particular lesson is ready to run.2
Does the Spring 2026 date mean Mini has shipped?
No. The main page’s Spring 2026 target and the reservation page’s broader 2026 expectation remain different accounts. Neither establishes completed deliveries. A school or laboratory should obtain a written delivery commitment for its country before scheduling teaching or research around the robot.21
Can a project depend on Mini using stairs?
NEURA describes stair navigation as under development. Treat movement between floors as an unresolved requirement, and arrange the project around an agreed operating space until the supplier can demonstrate the needed movement with the supplied version.2
