Saros Z70 adds an unusual question to a vacuum purchase: are the objects left on your floor the sort its arm can actually move? Roborock's OmniGrip arm is designed for selected lightweight items. It is useful to think about those items specifically before imagining a robot that can tidy everything in a room.1
Roborock lists socks, sandals, crumpled tissues and lightweight towels among the supported objects, weighing under 300 g. The five-axis arm folds into the robot. Obstacle management requires app setup, and OmniGrip is disabled by default. The page describes an emergency pause button and child lock; those controls do not replace following the instructions for the room where it will run.1
The robot has a camera on the arm and another at the front. Roborock says camera functions start off and require permission. Review the controls and current data settings before enabling remote camera features. When deciding what to leave on the floor, use the supported object list and weight limit rather than assuming the arm can handle every item it recognizes.1
Z70 uses StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 and has a manufacturer-listed height of 79.8 mm. Its dock handles jobs including dust emptying, mop washing, drying and mop removal. The dock body measures 381×475×488 mm, so plan its position and access as part of the purchase rather than considering only the robot's compact shape.1
The US store displayed USD 1,699.99 on October 25, 2026. Purchase buttons appeared alongside wording that the product had not yet launched, leaving inventory and delivery unconfirmed. The store advertises a one-year limited warranty and 30-day returns. Confirm the exact package and applicable terms before ordering.3
To decide whether the arm matters, list the three objects you most often pick up before vacuuming. If they fall outside the supported types or weight, compare Z70 on its floor-cleaning and dock features alone. If you need Matter smart-home integration, check the current firmware: Roborock still described Matter as an upcoming update on October 25, 2026.1

OmniGrip is disabled by default and needs app setup. Its supported object types and weight limit are narrower than general object recognition or household tidying. Child lock and emergency pause are controls, not an independent safety certification. Matter was still described as an upcoming update in the inspected page.
